Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins (born in Mexico) is an Mexican American sportscaster. She works for ESPN and works as an SportsCenter anchor for news. She was hired by ESPN as a news anchor in 2016. Her mother is Maria Antonieta Collins, a journalist on television. Antonietta is native to two languages. From the age of nine years old, her ability to converse in two languages led to her obtaining the job she wanted in Miami as an assistant production for Univision. In her position she was able to work with national producers, such as Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Her next assignment was a Sports Reporter at the CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. Then, in 2009 the news reporter relocated into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. In 2009, she moved into Rio Grande Valley, Texas and became an editor for KNVO48 Univision and Fox2 News. She also filled in for anchors of sports and weather forecasters. Later, she was anchor and reporter on Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. In the following years, she was given more responsibility. She also wrote articles on sports like the NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason games, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. Aside from this she was also the host and produced Univision 23's Accion Deportiva Extra local sports show. She became a sports host for the morning show on Despierta America Deportes. It was the same role in Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo on UniMas Network. Antonietta's parents were originally native to Veracruz Mexico. She was born November 22, 1984 in Mexico City. There is an older sister. Her family left in 1992 Mexico and relocated to Miami. In 1992, her parents separated soon after. In 1995, she was remarried Fabio Fajardo who was an engineer in the naval sector who died in 2006 due to kidney cancer. The time of summer when she was with her sibling at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured the job. Still a senior in high school and yet with a clear idea about what she wanted to pursue in her future, Antonietta visited at the University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her needs. It was a beautiful campus as well as offered the level of education she was looking for. She graduated from high school and was enrolled in media studies at the university. Mark Bergmann was her professor as well as the director of WRMU in which she's a part. They developed a close relationship. It was he who inspired her confidence and whose passion for journalism deeply touched her. As a result, she determined to meet his demands always delivering on time.
